When I am on the mat I feel as if I've finally found a home. The whistle blows and I make a choice, fight or flight. Being a wrestler has taught me that you will be put in situations every single day where you choose to fight, or back down. I want to be to be a leader, to help, inspire and encourage athletes just like myself, on and off the mats. Although in wrestling you are singled out, you still need a team that you can call your family, and family is very important to me. A goal I have set for myself in this upcoming season is to give back the encouragement that my teammates have given me this past season because without a support system you won't make it very far.
