I wrestle for one reason; I love the sport. Ever since the 7th grade, I have lived and breathed wrestling. Wrestling pushes me in ways I have never been pushed before. It makes me better in every aspect of my life, including my classwork, personal and home life. I have learned hard work and commitment from this sport, and continue wrestling because it teaches me something new every day.
I've always been a natural leader, and do my best to lead by example. I do my best on and off the mat. I currently am on honor roll with a 4.25 core GPA. I hold my teammates to the same standard I hold myself to; to always try their best and ask for help if they need it. My coaches selected me for the Leadership Committee during the 2020/2021 season (we don't do captains). I use my leadership to help my teammates grow into good wrestlers and good people.
My goal in wrestling is to compete at the highest level I am capable of and to maximize my potential as a person and a wrestler. I truly love the sport and hope to have the chance to continue with it in college.
