Hello, my name is Dale Jones. I joined wrestling when I was in the sixth grade and have developed the love for it since. I have qualities that differ from other recruits because I was raised to show heart and chivalry in everything, especially my academics and my sports . I chose wrestling as my primary sport for recruiting because wrestling teaches discipline, and has also has taught me a lot of life lessons that help me become more of a successful man and I know that will carry into my future. The coaches trust me to be a leader because I show up to practice on time and I help my teammates out whenever they need me. When the coaches need someone to do something they ask me to do it because they know I get it done right and they know I will ask for help when needed. I have been given opportunities to join other wrestling teams and other schools however I respectfully declined. The boys I wrestle with are my brothers and I have chose to stay loyal to them as well as my school. I was the defense captain of my JV football team, playing two games a week because I was also playing Varsity. My grades point average is a 3.2 because I am willing to learn and become a smarter young man. My choice to work hard got me in to the Envision program this up coming summer and I have the opportunity to go to our nations capital, Washington D.C. While I'm there, I will get to meet Admirals, Generals, and Majors of the current U.S. military. I will go to seminars and go to our famous memorials in Washington D.C. as well have the possibility to visit the Pentagon. Also I'm always open to new learning opportunities and try to take advantage of them whether its new moves or new techniques. I learn quickly and am easily engaged, which helps me teach others when the coaches need me. Growing up my dad always told me," People can take anything away from you except your knowledge, so gain as much knowledge as you can to become greater than I am." My goal in life is to serve my great country as a U.S. Marshal. My other plan is to join the Navy as a gunner-mate. When people ask me why I want to serve, I always respond," That's what my ancestors did before me was fought in World War 1, World War 2, and Vietnam. They gave their lives so I can stand here today besides you and live up to the expectations of my last name. "
