Wrestling
I have been wrestling for more than half my life I believe this coming year will be the ninth year of participating in this sport that I love. Even though wrestling has become part of my life and it is hard to imagine life with out it, it hasn't always been easy to participate in a sport so physically and mentally demanding but its one of the reasons why I love it. I am constantly challenged in the wrestling room and by my coach who knows what I can do and he doesn't expect anything less in my grades and efforts in practice. I have faced some trials during my wrestling career but I never let it stop me from pushing harder and continuing. I had even given up my favorite sport soccer so I could continue wrestling. My school district had changed the season for soccer to the same as wrestling so I had to make a choice. I had played soccer for longer but I knew that I would chose wrestling because it was where I could achieve the most. Wrestling is were my heart is and I hope it will aid me in my pursuits towards college.
Volleyball
I have played volleyball for only a short while. I started volleyball in middle school and fell in love with the team comradery and the game play. Volleyball has been a sport that I played for fun to fill my time but this season as I have been playing I see that if I pushed myself I could be a better player and maybe not just see it as play for fun anymore. But see it as an opportunity and a sport to whole heartedly invest in and maybe even advance to the college level.
