My name is Eben Jones, I am a senior at Live Oak High School. I have been wrestling since I was 4 years old but attended my first tournament when I was just 7 days old. Wrestling has been in my life ever since I could remember. I always strive to get better, work to gain skills, and grind for success.
In school, I work hard to build relationships with my teachers and achieve good grades. The reason for this was because 2 years of my life were taken away from me when COVID came through California. I was unable to attend school for close to 3 years. I was trapped in my room on a computer screen, sports were my only way out except wrestling had been shut down. So instead I played football. I also played rugby for a team that was ranked top 10 in the nation and second in Northern California. I have also served as a leader on and off the field. Being a team captain for my Rugby, Football, and Wrestling teams. I also served as a Chapter officer for my FFA Chapter, as a 4-H officer for my club, and also as a Camp Director, and a County Ambassador for the 4-H.
Because of those 3 years lost, I feel as if I'm not done playing sports. My next option is College sports.
As an athlete, I am coachable, hardworking, and responsible I always show up and perform to the best of my abilities. My goals for college are to become an All-American athlete and leave a career that I won’t regret.
