Wrestling has definitely influenced who I have become today. It has helped me to become a harder worker and become a better person. I got into wrestling when I was twelve years old by some friends that were already doing wrestling at a higher level. They had us come into the room and I really liked the mentality that the wrestlers in the room gave off. Through wrestling I have learned that I really like both the individual and team aspect of the sport. Because you can still have the camaraderie of a team sport but when it comes down to it everything is on you when you are on the mat. I would like to graduate high school with straight A’s and would like to get a degree in aeronautical engineering in college. Some obstacles that I have had to overcome is that during covid I was not able to practice because everything was shut down but I continued to practice at home so that I would not go backward but be able to continue to continue to get better. A unique skill or characteristic that I possess is that I am able to strike up a conversation with just about anyone. As two year team captain and a state qualifier I think that I have what it takes to be on your wrestling team.
