I am from a small town that competes in a large section. I am a three sport athlete with a 3.5 gpa. I feel like I could be a national champion if I dedicated all of my time to wrestling as I plan to in college. The only wrestlers that beat me are state ranked or state placers in California that wrestle year around. What separates me from other wrestlers is my drive and my heart when dedicating myself to anything I do. I am excited for my next step.
UPDATE: I have successfully completed my high school career placing third in 126lbs at my section championship losing in the semi finals at CIF NCS Championships 3-1 in overtime to De La Salle. If it was two years ago that would have been good enough for state, but restructuring changed that so, unfortunately, only the champion and runner up qualify for State.
I still view my season as a huge success with an overall record of 40-4 losing only to an Oregano state champion, Nevada state placer, and 2 two time CA state qualifiers, all close decisions. I defeated 9 out of the 11 state ranked opponents I faced this season including 5 CA CIF state qualifiers, one of which went 3-2 at CIF championships 2024.
Had I went 132lbs or 122lbs I would have won CIF NCS and qualified for state. I am undefeated against the wrestlers who took CIF NCS section championship . I beat the 132lbs CIF NCS section champ only giving up an escape earlier this season at the 15th annual Bill Martell, also beating the NCS runner up at 122lbs at Bay Area 60.
I didn't give up one reversal all season setting a record. I went on a 25 match win streak while claiming 6 straight tournament championships and two outstanding wrestler awards. So, I didn't achieve my goal of state championship my senior year, but I definitely found success on the journey.
I end my high school career with a 113-16 in varsity matches, one of few three time CIF NCS section medalist, two time CMC league champion, undefeated in CIF NCS career duals, placed 3rd and 4th at CIF NCS team duals, and I am a three time CIF scholar athlete award recipient. If it wasn't for Covid and I had my freshman year my record would be 140-20 and I would have 4 CIF NCS medals.I set multiple records as well.
In the post season I have already went to two tournaments placing first at Rumble in Reno 132lbs, and 3rd at 2024 CAUSA Cadet-JR B/G Folkstyle championships. Qualifying me for Fargo.
I am looking forward to taking a look at multiple colleges that are offering scholarship opportunities across the country soon. Education, environment, and a good fit with the coaches is important to me. So if you would like me to be your next 125 or 133 please contact me. I promise you will be getting a humble, hard working, lead by example type of guy.
Thank you for looking at my profile. I look forward to communicating with all of you and getting to know you and what your colleges may have to offer me in the next step of my education and wrestling.
