Personal Statement

I believe in pushing past my personal best. As the Varsity Team Captain, I have experienced the challenge of motivating my team to be their best and  to continue to reach for their goals even in the face of exhaustion and injury.  My team experienced a really high injury rate this year and yet we had our highest number of North Coast Sectional Qualifiers  in our high school’s history. The privilege of being a leader and having an impact on the younger wrestlers is something I do not take lightly. In a sport that is individualistic, I am proud of my ability to bring comradely and a sense of team.
