Hi coach! My collegiate goals include maintaining good grades, as that is what I value most out of school; some other goals include winning matches, putting my name out there, and just having fun. I aspire to become the best wrestler I can be and create my own legacy. What makes me a good candidate for the team is my work ethic. Before my first year of high school wrestling I had no idea what hard work was. I wrestled my eight grade year in middle school, and I had no idea that that was just a warmup. Once I wrestled my first year in high school I realized I had to maintain the highest grades possible, while wrestling at the highest level I can. I apply my work ethic to everything that I do. I apply it to not only wrestling, but to my job (which is currently landscaping), academics, my social life, and just my life in general. What makes me different is that I use my work ethic to learn. Whenever I step on the mat, my one goal is to learn something that I didn't know before. I use my work ethic to bring in everything that my coaches and peers tell me. I try to apply what I learn and see to my own wrestling, or to change my view on something. I use my work ethic in academics as well, as I put in my full effort to try and learn something new and apply it to my own life.
