Becoming a wrestler is one of the hardest things I have ever done, but also one of the most rewarding. I have competed in several sports, but I feel wrestling is my passion - I've loved it from the start. Wrestling has changed me as a person, because I have become more open and willing to work with others to better myself and my teammates. I am committed to training outside of practices, as well as competing in multiple sports to further my athleticism. I push myself harder academically, despite having a dyslexia family disorder, to be able to stay on a college bound track.
I have become resilient in my short life, because I am a military child. Moving and never settling long in one place has made competing on a sports team regularly a challenge. I had to learn to not put up walls and trust new teammates, coaches, and friends which isn't always an easy task. At the same time, it has made me stronger mentally, because I have had to adapt so many times.
My academic goals for college are to major in athletic training, exercise science, or kinesiology. I would like to help others to accomplish their athletic and physical health goals. I would also like to serve in the military as an Officer post graduation.
