Personal Statement

My personal goal as a high school student athlete is to find a college that will best develop me for the future; academically and physically. Over my three seasons as a varsity wrestler I have learned the value of perseverance. Starting with a difficult season as a freshman varsity heavyweight, my continued hard work and determination led me to being a two time regional qualifier the subsequent seasons. In addition to this valuable lesson, I have seen that my dedication is an inspiration to others. It was, and is, a great honor to serve as team captain both my junior year and upcoming senior year. My ideal college is a small, liberal arts school in a rural community that provides an outstanding educational experience. My desired major is History, specifically US and European History. I also welcome the opportunity to continue my involvement in athletics at the next level.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
