I started Brazilian Jiu Jitsu when I was 11 years old and just starting middle school. I got bored with it and wanted a change in pace by the time I was a freshman in High School. When I saw my school had a wrestling team, I joined to change things up, I haven't looked back since. The transition from Jiu Jitsu to wrestling was not smooth for me at all, it took a lot of time and hard work for the Jiu Jitsu experience to finally start showing in my wrestling style. I learned that hard work can take you anywhere through this sport and have so much appreciation for it. Every opportunity I get to challenge myself and become better, I take it.
