Personal Statement

I began wrestling in Middle School; at the time, just for the fun of it. It wasn't long before I developed a love for the sport and began to pursue my wrestling career aggressively. I have learned so much from the blood, sweat and tears which has made me into one of the most dedicated and hardworking athletes out there, both on and off the mat. All of my hard work has paid off; I've wrestled the varsity position and have qualified for State all three years of high school. I am a 2-time State placer and 1-time State finalist.

My 2021 off-season work doesn't go unnoticed while becoming a 3-time Western States finalist and a 1-time Western States Champion, a 2-time State finalist, 4th at the USAW National Recruiting Showcase, as well as making it to the round of 16 at Fargo Nationals. I am willing to do anything and everything, dig deep and never concede, to be at the top of every podium I stand on. I am absolutely certain that I will be an amazing asset to any college wrestling team, as I am a natural leader among my peers with a goal to win. I look forward to being a strong contributor  to the team's success moving forward.

I push myself off the mat, as well, and I am very dedicated and excel with my academics where I maintain an overall 3.5 gpa while taking honors classes and AP college credit classes. To me, being a successful wrestler takes a committed mindset that transcends into all areas of my life, whether it be on the mat, off the mat, in school, at home, and now transitioning to a college setting.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
