Hello, my name is Gage Ellis, and I am currently a student at Salem High School, set to graduate in 2024. I feel both honored and humbled to share a bit about myself in the hope of catching the attention of college coaches.
Throughout my high school journey, I've been fortunate to have some memorable experiences and achievements. As an Eagle Scout and a member of the Order of the Arrow, I've had the chance to develop my leadership skills in various outdoor activities. Additionally, I had the privilege of captaining our Varsity Wrestling team for two years, and our hard work paid off when we became Wrestling District Champions in 2022.
I've been fortunate enough to participate in programs like the National Youth Leadership Training, which opened my eyes to the importance of leadership and teamwork. Additionally, being selected for the U.S. Coast Guard AIM Program, Naval Academy, and Air Force Academy summer seminars was a truly humbling experience that taught me the value of discipline and courage.
Academically, I've maintained a 3.7 GPA and am a proud member of the National Honor Society. I've also been involved in clubs like the STEM Academy, Engineering Club, and Aeronautics and Aviation Club, which have allowed me to explore my passion for innovation.
Looking ahead, I have a strong interest in pursuing wrestling at the college level. Wrestling has become more than just a sport for me; it's a way of life that has taught me valuable lessons in determination and perseverance. I would be honored to continue this journey and contribute my best efforts to a college wrestling team.
In addition to my athletic pursuits, I believe in giving back to the community. As a volunteer for Plymouth-Canton Education Park Unified Sports, East Middle School Wrestling Coach, and DTW Airport Ambassador, I've learned the importance of selflessness and the joy of making a positive impact.
In conclusion, I am grateful for the opportunities and experiences that have shaped me into the person I am today. While I'm proud of my accomplishments, I recognize that there is always room for growth and improvement. I am Gage Ellis, and I hope that my journey, marked by modesty and dedication, will resonate with college coaches as I aspire to continue my wrestling journey at the next level. Thank you for considering my profile.
