I've been wrestling since I was in kindergarten. I was always a decent wrestler and hardworking, but didn't really get much attention from the coaches. I always felt I had to work hard and show my commitment to my team to earn my spot. I continued to grow as a wrestler and have progressively gotten stronger and more talented with each year. I always wanted to make it to state as a youth wrestler and in 6th grade I finally made it and was a state placer. In 8th grade (2017-18) I set a goal for myself to earn the belt in the Midwest National Wrestling tour. In order to earn the belt you must place in the top 4 in 3 out of 4 tournaments. Not only did I earn the belt, I placed in the top 4 at all 4 tournaments. I was also an NYWA state champion that year. In my freshman year of high school (2018-19) I was the 2nd -9th grader in my schools history to become the MN, 9GWL 9th grade state champion. My momentum continues to grow and I continue to strive for more and work hard for it. I received my varsity letter as a 9th grader as well.
I work hard in all aspects of my life. I am an honors student and while I am a good student I work hard at it. Nothing I have done in life has come easily, I work for my success. I know I will do great things in wrestling, school and my life because I will do whatever it takes to get there.
