Evan Mendez '23 Recruiting Profile

I have been wrestling for seven years and during this time frame, I have been taught so much and gained many memories and life lessons.  This sport not only teaches you how to become dedicated but also shows you what it takes in life to be the best.  The goals I have are not made for just this sport, I created them to help better myself in life.  One goal would be to make it to states my junior year and place.  Another one would be to have my team place in team states as well.  My final goal is to become successful in whatever career I choose to do in life and be able to take care of my family.  I am always one to be there for the team and to cheer everyone on no matter the situation I am in.  The thing that makes me different is that I make sure to push my teammates to their limits so they can also be successful.  Also, I make sure to keep my grades high so that I do not have to worry about not being able to participate in my sport and I also make sure that my teammates' grades are good as well so that they do not have to stress about not being able to wrestle.  I do see myself as a strong asset to any wrestling team at any level.  I am definitely ready to take on the next level with no fear in mind.
