Personal Statement

I have been wrestling for 14 years.  As soon as I stepped on the mat, I was hooked.  My dad and brother both wrestled in high school so we are certainly a wrestling family.   I was fortunate to have a very supportive family who always encouraged me to travel near and far to participate in local and national wrestling tournaments.   Between my sophomore and  junior years, I competed in Greco  throughout Europe as part of the Young Lions Wrestling team run by Gold Medal US Olympic and world team Coach Richard Estrella.  As a wrestler, You can learn so much about yourself.

Going into matches and tournaments I prepare myself mentally and emotionally. I picture myself out on the mat,  I picture take downs, turns, and escapes, and I picture myself with my hand raised. My team is a big part as to who I am as a wrestler. I support my team through wins and losses, and I will continue this behavior with the college team I choose to compete with.

Since I am a senior this year, I have decided to take an academic year at Mercer County Community College, and continue my college search for the right school and team. I will be keeping recruitment open, so feel free to reach out by email, text, or by phone.

  • I have been going to this club for three years. This club has amazing coaches, and it is fast paced. The coaches are from Council Rock South, College athletes, and one coach from Czechoslovakia, which was on the world team, plus he was an olympian as well. I practice with kids who are between 130 and 140 pounds even though I am 115 pounds.
  • 2016 MPR Wrestling (National )
  • Went to this club for four years before I moved to another club. The best club and coach that I have ever had. The Coach is Chuckie Connor, went to University of North Carolina and was an All-American as well.
