I started wrestling when I was at the age of seven. I always enjoyed wrestling, but only wrestled during the season. My Dad, who is a H.S. football coach, thought it was important to participate in several sports. So from the 2nd grade my twin brother and I played football, baseball, ran track and wrestled. My brother and I always had success in wrestling through the years because of our athleticism. But we had difficulty wrestling against wrestlers who wrestled all year round.
At the end of my sophomore year we fully committed to wrestling more than any other sport we participated in. We started going to a wrestling club. We entered off season tournaments for the first time since my brother and I started wrestling. Some of the tournaments we entered were, Nuway Nationals and War at the Shore. After less than a year of going to the club we improved so much, destroying the goals we had set the year before and placing in big tournaments. Another year of wrestling, off season tournaments, and weightlifting I am positive that we can place in the state and become outstanding wrestlers.
Academically I am a good student with a 3.3 GPA. I’ve made the honor roll six times up to this point in my junior year. Getting good grades is important to me and I’ve worked very hard as a student athlete to maintain an A/B average. Looking to the future, my interests are Physical Therapy, Physician Assistant or Athletic Training. Thanks for checking my profile.
