My goal has always been to compete at the Division 1 level for wrestling and/or football. I was told at an early age that in order to accomplish your goals you should have a plan. I have a plan and I follow it every day. I know how much work is needed in order to get to the Division 1 level and I feel as though I am putting in the work.
I believe I am a perfect candidate for a collegiate team because I do not shy away from hard work. I give 110% of myself on the mat, on the field and in the classroom. I feel that I am different from other recruits because I demonstrate a leadership mentality through leading by example. My academic performance is an area where I try to set a good example by working toward the best grades possible and understanding that education is a big piece of the puzzle. I work very hard in my workouts and very hard in games and matches. I appreciate any help or constructive criticism that I get from coaches and teammates. I don't know if that sets me apart from others but it definitely describes who I am as an athlete and a person.
I feel like I can play at the D1 level. I am confident in my athletic ability and academic ability. I strive for the best. I know it will not be easy but I know that I can do it!.
