Personal Statement
- As a two-sport athlete, I am a two-time varsity letterman in Soccer and Wrestling. As a student-athlete, I look forward to my studies in Criminal Justice and being able to continue my wrestling career at the next level. I am a two-time District Qualifier in Division III as well as placed in several tournaments, my current record is 50-27. As a team captain, I enjoy motivating my teammates in the practice room, the weight room and in competition, Being a part of a team is the best part of wrestling. During practices and competitions, I focus all my energy on the task in front of me, taking each challenge head-on and not looking past whoever is in front of me. I wrestled at several off-season events, including twice at Disney Duals, Ceder Point Duals, Tiffin Duals, and the Delta Freestyle Wrestling Qualifier. I was part of the Genoa Wrestling Club Freestyle team as well. During this time, I went to multiple camps with Division 1 college wrestlers from Ohio State and The University of Michigan. My goal for this upcoming wrestling season is to win an individual league title and to win state. My post-season goal for this year is to concentrate on Freestyle and qualify for Fargo.
