I'm Paul, also known as Andy Sanchez and my goal is to stand on the state podium, and I've been making steady progress. I started wrestling in 7th grade but I learned the sport quickly. As a freshman, I was the freshman district qualifier - finishing 2 and 2. My sophomore year, I qualified for districts again, finishing 5th and becoming a state alternate - finishing 4 and 2.
My junior year season ended with disappointment. I got very sick the week before sectionals and could only wrestle at 50% of my ability. It was upsetting and it is humbling - but I've already begun training for next season - wrestling club and weight training.
My ultimate goal is to wrestle at the college level while earning a degree that aligns with my goal of having my own business. Family is very important to me; I'm the oldest of five, and my parents offer unwavering support in all aspects of my life.
In my free time, I like to hang out with friends, watching football games and movies.
