I started participating in sports at the age of 4 and I joined my school’s biddy wrestling program in kindergarten. I enjoy the competition and I like the fact that wrestling is an individual sport as well as a team sport. Through this sport I have been able to wrestle all over the country for various teams. This has allowed me to compete with and against kids from several states.
My goal this year was to place higher on the podium, which I accomplished by getting 3rd. Next year, my goal is to be on top of the podium. I hope to become my school’s first 4x state placer.
I was the first freshman from Otsego High School to place at the OHSAA state tournament and I was the second freshman to ever qualify for states. I am also my school‘s first ever 3x state placer. This year, I earned All Ohio Academic honors as well as All District Academic honors. I am looking forward to the opportunity to continue my academics, as well as my wrestling on the college level.
