Wrestling at a division one school would be a dream come true for me. I was introduced to the sport of wrestling when I was in kindergarten by none other than my pappy. He is the sole reason I began wrestling, and I wouldn't be in this position if it weren't for him. Ever since I was a little kid, I've always been hard on myself and wanted to accomplish great things. Along with this came working hard, as I would work as hard as I could in both the classroom and wrestling room. During my time on the mat, I've developed an extremely effective work ethic that I apply to every aspect of my life, whether it be leading, working out, or school. I really just love wrestling! I love how my results are directly dependent on how hard I push myself and want to succeed. I also love how I feel after knowing I just gave it my all, whether it be during a match or during a hard practice. Being a leader of a team makes me feel like I'm positively impacting so many people while also improving myself. Being a part of a team is all I can ask for, I love being a part of a brotherhood. Along with my passion for wrestling, I also have a passion for the classroom. My high school academic goals include maintaining a 4.0 GPA throughout my entire 4 years as well as reaching top 5 in the class while hopefully being inducted into the National Honor Society this upcoming year. I know it will be a monumental effort, but wrestling has prepared me to accomplish these goals. I want to make the dream of attending a strong academic school and being a part of the wrestling team a reality. Although the end of my freshman year was plagued with a testicle surgery and my sophomore year was plagued with infectious mononucleosis, I worked through it all and have become better because of it. I believe that someday I can make my dream a reality, and can become a division one wrestler.
