Matheson Meade '21 Recruiting Profile

I was in first grade when I started wrestling for a small club here in Knoxville. I almost instantly fell in love with the sport and I have not looked back since, even through some rough patches. I would love to be able to fulfill my childhood dream of being able to do a sport at the highest scholastic level I can and win as much as I can and then go on to work towards my biggest goal of being an olympian. I have been the team captain three of my four years in high school and have strived to be the best possible leader I can be, stumbling at times as all do but I have gotten back up stronger and smarter for it. Through high school, I have been a three-time region finalist and a two-time champ. Sophomore year I placed third at state and was overjoyed but not satisfied, then this year I was having a great season and just fell short of everything at state which is just even more fuel on the fire going into this upcoming season.
