I am Tristan Poulos and am currently a Junior enrolled at Tumwater High School. I have been wrestling since 7th grade and ever since that first practice, wrestling has changed my life for the better. Wrestling has brought so much discipline and hard work ethic into my life from all the hard practices and battles fought on the mat. With each and everyday I aspire to become a better wrestler and student.
I wrestled 7th, 8th, 10th, and 11th grade. I have also done freestyle wrestling for 3 years. I’ve lettered both my 10th and 11th grade wrestling seasons. I am also my high school’s team captain. my 10th grade season I went to State as an Alternate and 11th grade I went as a participant. I also will be competing at the Freestyle State Tournament.
I am always on time or early to practice and class. I make it a point to be respectful and punctual. I am always the first person to show up to practice, the first person to set mats up, the first person to clean mats, the first person to show up to the locker room for tournaments, and the last to leave the wrestling room. I stay after practice to work with my coaches and critique moves and become the best wrestler I can. I hope to further not only my wrestling career but my education. I want to become a Child and Adolescent Psychologist. I want to be the first person in my family to graduate from college.
