During my freshman year of high school I tried out for the basketball team and was cut, this ended up being one of the best things that ever happened to me. Why? Well, the next day I bought a pair of wrestling shoes and walked straight down to the wrestling room and never looked back. In that room I learned how to fail and always get back up to becoming stronger physically, mentally, and be the best wrestler I could be. Since my freshman year a passion has been ignited in me for wrestling that has pushed me grow on the matt, in the classroom, and as a leader. This has all lead to a mentality where putting in the work results in the outcome of achieving my goals. I live and strive for the grind whether it's in the weight room, staying after practice drilling newly learned moves, or making sure I meet with my math teacher to get help academically .
My claim to fame as a wrestler is that I am coachable. I have learned seeking out coaches who have the experience and wisdom to help me improve is only beneficial if I listen and implement what they are teaching me. In doing this I have become a better wrestler and for that matter a better person. I honestly feel my wrestling ability is only getting better as seen from starting this sport my freshman year and placing 2nd in state my junior year. I look forward to finding the school that is the right fit to partner with in a desire to achieve my goals and becoming an all American Collegiate Champion while earning a degree that will prepare me for my future.
