Zachary Richards '23 Recruiting Profile

Team, Teammate, Self. This is plastered all over our wall in my high school wrestling room. As a freshman I had a basic understanding of it, however, by the end of the year, I lived those words to their utmost possible interpretation. I learned to constantly adapt myself and how to put my team and teammates first. Those words have been running how I live and pushing myself through challenges like school, work, sports and my everyday life. Doing things because it won't only better myself, but it will better everyone around me.  I look to always find a new challenge, to push myself and see what I can do. It's never to be the best, though that is what I strive for, it's contagious. When the whole team works as a unit and everyone wants to be the best they possibly can they become a family, and everyone brings each other up. I'm a great teammate and easily coachable. I love to push my team because they do the same for me.
