Devon Lietzau '25 Recruiting Profile

Wrestling is my ultimate passion and I really want to take that to the next level. I believe a school with a solid program would help me achieve many goals. I've started wrestling when I was in preschool. I've been on Varsity Football for 1 year, Varsity Track for 3 and Varsity wrestling 3 years and am currently a 1x state placer in wrestling. I've been first team all-conference 1 time and second team all-conference 2 times. My coaches and teammates will tell you I'm one of the hardest workers in the room and a standout leader. I think wrestling is by far the toughest sport of all and I love the mental aspect of it. I think it's unlike any other sport as it's just you and your opponent one-on-one on the mat. This off-season I've been working one-on-one with Berry Davis and Ben Thourton as well as practicing 5 times a week to really prepare for my senior year of competition. I want to be in a room where I will be challenged and strive to make improvements. I'm also a 1 year captain of the wrestling team.
