I first started wrestling at the prompting of my football coach to improve my performance on the field. However, after my first year of participation in the sport in 7th grade, I was hooked. I grew to love the physical and mental challenges of the sport, and how my success and failure depended on me as an individual not an entire team. That being said, I recognize the need to be a leader and supportive teammate, and was honored to be voted by team as the "Walk, Talk, and Act like a Champion" Leader of the year for 2023. Over the last 5 years I have dedicated myself to improving the level I compete at, including working alongside our local USA wrestling team in the off season as a coach and ref. I am certified as an M3 official by the Wyoming Armature Wrestling Association and was able to participate in a two week Cultural Wrestling Exchange in Spain in 2022. I have competed at the Varsity level every year of high school, across multiple weight classes (120, 138, 152) and have enjoyed working with coaches and collegiate level athletes to continuously develop my skillset. I am incredibly dedicated to the sport of wrestling and would love to have the chance to continue to follow my passion and wrestle at the collegiate level.
