Hello! My name is Amy Carmona, and I am a student at Greens Farms Academy. I have been both cheering and playing soccer since I was 11, and I knew that I wanted to compete at a higher-level institution when I began playing. Playing in college is a responsibility and a privilege that I would be honored to have. I love working with both team members and coaches. I have strong physical abilities and always think in a way that would benefit both my team and myself. I think that seeing things from a different perspective is super important because I truly believe there is not solely one right way to do things. I have strong skills and constantly work hard towards both my goals and learning new things! When in the off-season, I use workout packets given to us and work with our campus' athletic trainer to maintain and even improve my physical capacity. I also use film and statistics to improve my knowledge of the general playing field. While in school, I work to the best of my ability and have received honors for most of my years at school. On breaks from school, I relax, train, and volunteer to teach other students how to play the sports I do in hopes of sharing that love of sports with them. This is the most important thing, I think, to influence newer generations to find that same love in sports, even if it's not your own. Keeping an open mind and being open to criticism without offense is one of the best skills you can have. That being said, I want to attend a college where I can continue to push myself and be on a globally-minded campus.
