FLOOR GENERAL
A past basketball coach once told me that I needed to be a floor general. I needed to take control of the team, and make the players around me better. Being a floor general takes extra work and extra effort, but I’m willing to put that extra stuff in. Through this, I’ve learned how to get the other guys good shots, make the extra pass, and when needed, get to the hoop no matter what. On both offense and defense, communication is key, and I’ve learned how to help keep my team going and make sure everyone’s on the same page.
Anything that my coach tells me to do, I’ll do it to the best of my abilities. If I’m unable to do it, then I’ll work outside of practice in order to achieve this goal set before me.
Off the court, I believe that I have to work just as hard as when I’m on the court. Achieving academic excellence is very important to me, and I’m willing to work for an above average GPA.
