Andrew Bray '20 Recruiting Profile

As I look to find the right college, I'd like to study at a school with a lot of heart, known for both academic excellence as well as awesome athletics, with good options in the field of business/marketing. Coming from a challenging college prep school, I have learned to work hard, and also manage my activities with disciplined academics. 

In my Canisius High School lax career, I have been a starter for 3 years, making Most Improved player my sophomore year on varsity.  Recently I was named to the Under Armour TOP 50 team as well as the Western NY State team for a second year.  I am fast on my feet, a good shot, able to move quickly to deak opponents, and aggressive, not afraid to put my body into play.  I have played multiple sports since I was 5, including hockey and soccer for both club and travel teams, so I feel I have a good handle on playing smart and seeing the whole field, positioning, movement around the net, as well as being very accepting of different styles of coaching.  I have also played several years of box lacrosse, as a Junior Bandit as well as with Champion, which has given me better reaction time and quick shooting skills.

My senior year I plan to continue working smart, exploring career options to help me find a good college match, and getting involved. I volunteer at a local homeless shelter regularly, and also have enjoyed working with kids at school summer camps.  During summer and winter breaks, I work for my family's landscaping business, which has taught me the value of working hard!
