I fell in love with the sport during the 2014 world cup after watching Guillermo "Memo" Ochoa, the Mexican National Goalkeeper. His performance during the games shocked me and influenced me to such a degree I do not think any other goalkeeper could.

 Oftentimes, the dreams of parents live on through their kids. My father, a man of Mexican descent, always loved soccer but because of the lack of support from his family wasn't able to pursue his dream. I want to carry on his desire and be the first in my family to play at the highest level I can. My family has always meant a lot to me and this is just another way I can think of making them proud. 

I believe I can offer a lot to the college I attend and the soccer team I play on. I want to excel in my major and also play college soccer to live out my parents' dream of attending college and playing high-level soccer.
