Growing up my parents thought I would be the last one to be an athlete. My sister would always go to her track meets and excel which made me long for something that would match her passion for her sport. One day I brought home a flyer for a local basketball program and after their clinic was over was offered a spot on their team. From that moment on I was hooked. I fell in love with the game of basketball finding anytime to practice on my own or begging my dad to take me somewhere to play. It didn't matter where or against who boys or girls, I was drawn to every aspect of the game. From defense to offense, I loved how simple and elegant yet powerful and intricate the game was. No matter how much I learned there was always something new I would discover or be taught. So I never got tired of practices and workouts. Playing at the collegiate level will allow me to pursue my dreams while still receiving a great education. I hope that my next stop will help me on my journey to be the best I can be.
