Chloe Holt '20 Recruiting Profile

Soccer..... What can I say? I LOVE IT and I want my playing career to extend beyond my high school years. I started playing soccer and other sports when I was four years old at the local YMCA and I continued to play for the YMCA (mostly on co-ed teams) until I was entering my last year of middle school.  There was a fall and spring season and in between I played AAU basketball (back to back state champs). It wasn't until I started playing for one of the top club teams in the state that I decided to give up basketball and focus solely on soccer. I was a little late to the "club scene", but I fit right in and cracked the starting line-up after a few games.  My ultimate goal is to be a student athlete on a college soccer team. Not just being on the team, but being a major contributor from the first day I walk on the pitch. Although soccer is important in my life I understand that my education and grades come first as that is something that can never be taken from me. 

I have learned a lot about myself over the years through sports. I have learned the value of teamwork and leadership to accomplish goals in life. I went from a non-verbal leader to a vocal leader on the team. I lead through example and try to help the team accomplish their goals before I try and accomplish mine. I scored in the 99^th percentile on the TAP report in the area of composure. Keeping my composure has been useful on the pitch especially when playing different positions. On my club and school teams I have been asked to play outside wing, midfield and outside back all in one game depending on the game situation. I was able to keep my composure and be successful.  I am both excited and nervous about the recruiting process, but know it will be a fun ride and I will find the right fit for me and my athletic and academic career.  I feel like I will make any team I play for better and look forward to making new friends in a new environment.
