Hello- My name is Colton McCoy; I am currently a Senior and attend West Point High School in Cullman, Al. I was born on August 28, 2004, in Hartselle, AL. I am currently 6'2" and 190LBS. I am a right-handed hitter and right-handed thrower. My primary position is Catcher and my secondary position is 1B. In my own words plain and simple, I am a ballplayer I love the game of baseball. Since the age of three, I have played the game. I respect the game and all the people I have played with. I have had the opportunity to learn the game from many great coaches. I know without them I wouldn't be the player that I am today. When I am not playing baseball or not in school I enjoy working out and being a part of my youth group. I also like to hunt and watch Alabama football. School and baseball take up most of my time. I try to lift 4-6 a week and put work in the cages 5-6 times a week. Over the winter months, I do speed and agility training by myself. My parents are very positive people they have always supported me in baseball that's one of the reasons I love playing so much. When it comes to college I would like to major in Christian Religious studies. If baseball doesn't work out I would like to be a missionary. As far as my most important accomplishments I have played varsity baseball since I was a Junior in high school while playing freshman and JV ball at Hartselle High School. In conclusion, I would like to assure all of the college coaches interested in me that I'm a hard worker. I try to be a better student, baseball player, and person every day. I always wake up at 5 every day to either study or go to our high school and work out or put the time in the cages. On the field, I am a vocal leader and I will always put my team first. But the most important thing about me is I will always put my faith first.
