Personal Statement

I'm a Godly man from a great family.  I'm very smart, close to first in my class.  I would be highly interested in a university with great academics that can help me get to medical school, an excellent baseball program, and a nice college life.  Academic scholarships with the ability to walk on in the right situation would be great.  Baseball is one of my greatest passions in life, and the opportunity to go to the next level would be a dream come true.

“Big kid with a lot of pop.  Has a good understanding and approach on how to hit.  Very good arm action and does all little things behind the plate to be a great catcher.  Can play just about anywhere.  Heavy FB and his off speed is above average.  Has all the tools be as good as he wants to be.   A lot of upside with this kid.”-Roby Brooks. Top Gun

“Boyd has tools to be a great player. Above average arm and pop with the bat. He also has a strong baseball IQ and knows how to win. More than physical tools, Boyd is a young man of strong character. His compete level is as high as they come and the players around him would tell you he is a great teammate. He will play whatever role is asked of him and really compete to execute at that role. Has great upside as a physical player, but is an even better young man.”  Jerry Windle, Pitching Coach

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
