I have played baseball all of my life. However, by the time I got to middle school, I really became committed to the idea of playing college and even the drive to play professional baseball. I am not afraid of putting in the extra time and work to become a better player. I believe that anything worth doing is worth the dedication, commitment, and extra work necessary to achieve it. This includes on the field and off.
I think that hard work in the classroom as well as on the field is very important. As I’m maturing I realize that my studies are just as important to my future. I’m working hard toward being the best student I can be as I’m trying to decide on a career to pursue in addition to baseball.
Baseball is a team sport, so I want to be there for each teammate and lead our team by being supportive of all players, even it calls for sacrifice on my part for the success of the team.
Finally, as a Christian, I try to do the right thing in all that I do. This includes being a gentleman, treating others with respect, and striving to have others view me as a person of good character.
