My name is Ian Godwin and I am a freshman on the Indoor Track, Outdoor Track and Cross Country teams at Mortimer Jordan High School. I enjoy any opportunity to run, and when track is not in season, I sign up for community 5K and 10K events whenever I can. In addition to track, I am a trombone player in my school’s marching and concert bands, and in my spare time, I have a 2nd degree black belt in taekwondo. I am naturally competitive and driven to improve my speed and stamina. I believe my best event is the 400 meter, although I also enjoy both sprints and long distance running. I like my home state, but I also enjoy traveling and I am very open to attending college in another part of the country.
