CLASS OF 2021 (Injury Rehab) - Looking for opportunities for 2022-23.
My name is Maddux Soland. I am a 6'2" 195 lb 3B, OF, RHP and UTILITY player. I can play pretty much any position, except for catcher. I am a team player with solid defensive skills and am a strong, aggressive hitter. I started playing baseball when I was five, including traveling to the Little League World Series Western Regionals during my 12-year old and 13-year old seasons. I also played varsity football as a junior and senior and JV tennis as a sophomore, just to try something different.
My senior high school season was very successful. My team went undefeated and won the Alaska High School State Championship. I turned in a strong hitting performance during the tournament (including hitting a three-run home run in the championship game) and was named to the All Tournament Team for the State tournament. Unfortunately, I sustained an injury to my labrum on my throwing arm during the high school season. I played the American Legion season, turning in strong performances at 3rd base and shortstop. We lost a 1-0 heartbreaker during the State Legion championship. I was named to the First Team for the American Legion Team of Excellence.
I had surgery to repair my torn labrum immediately after the American Legion season. My rehab is going well. I have just been cleared to begin strength training and am looking forward to returning to baseball.
I dipped my toes into the world of college academics during the 2021-22 school year, attending Fullerton College on a a part-time basis. I am looking for an opportunity to play baseball at a California Community College for the next two years.
I was a B- student in high school and have been doing well in my college classes. I am not entirely sure what I want to be when I grow up, but I am interested in music production and acting.
