Baseball has been a way of life for my family since I can remember. Growing up in a very strong, Christian household and going to a Christian school has set my goal straight with the helping hand of God. I feel like my connection to the Lord has really made the way of what to do after high school clear for me. My grandpa and dad really got me into the sport of baseball then I learned that my dad's cousin is Justin Turner. School has also been pressed onto me and I learned I needed to work hard to keep all A's and B's on my report card. My sister is very academically gifted, taking max credit hours in college with a 4.0 GPA. She always challenges me to become better at school but also helps when I am stuck with one of my classes. School also brings competition with my friends to constantly get better at my work, sports, and being a person. When playing baseball I learned the important lesson of being selfless. The team is a machine and works as one. If a cog in the machine is broken then it will not function properly, but if all cogs are working together the machine will be successful. My dad works extremely hard at his job and I've learned how to work with a good attitude even if I don't like what I have to do. I listen to my parents and always try to be a good son. |
