Playing in college has always been something that I aspire to do. Receiving a scholarship is one of the main goals I have. Earning a degree and finding a successful career that benefits the needs of society and is enjoyable is a crucial part of college. Becoming a productive student-athlete begins with working hard inside the classroom. Holding myself to high standards benefits my success not only as a student, but as a young man and baseball player. My will to succeed pushes my work-ethic in school and on the baseball field to reach my goals. Understanding the game of baseball and obtaining a high baseball I.Q. has always been a priority of mine. Listening to coaches suggestions, reading and studying about the game, and knowing how to benefit the team whether it be on the field, in the batters box, or in the dugout, is a crucial part to my game. This benefits my play on the field, along with instincts during the game. Working out with a trainer multiple days a week, lifting weights at home and at school, and seeing a hitting and fielding coach boosts my success greatly and shows in my performance. My motivation to get faster and stronger, become a better hitter, and increase my velocity has helped me get to where I am as a baseball player. All these factors increase the likelihood of achieving success and reaching my goals.
