My name is Andrew Donovan and I’m a junior at Horizon High School in Scottsdale, AZ, graduating in May 2016. I am 6’3” and weigh 180 pounds, play MIF, 3rd base and pitch, bat right and throw right. I’m a member of my high school’s varsity baseball team and also play for the Mel Didier Blue Jay’s Elite Scout team. I have a strong academic background and my favorite subjects are math and science. I have not decided on a major but and I’m leaning towards studies in the atmospheric sciences, architecture or sports management.
I am a very versatile baseball player and I have been a member of a baseball team since I was four years old. I enjoy being a member of my team and working hard to archive our common goals, like winning our district championship in 2015. Baseball has been and I believe always will be a very important part of my life but I understand the right school will help me prepare for a career after my baseball playing days are over. I am looking for a school where I can earn the opportunity to continue to enjoy playing baseball while pursuing a career, in or outside of baseball. I’m looking for a school where I can continue to work hard in the classroom as well earn the opportunity to succeed on the baseball field.
