Throughout my life, I have always enjoyed ALL things baseball. I literally eat, breathe, and sleep…baseball! I have been playing since I was three years old. It is my passion. I put in many hours, daily and weekly, to improve my talents and abilities because it is my dream to play collegiately. I believe talent may get you on the field, but it’s the effort and attitude that will keep you there. I am a third baseman and catcher for the Bauxite Miners Varsity Baseball Team. I am a very strong ball player, defensively and offensively. Even though I study the sport for fun, I am told I definitely have a high baseball IQ. I am very coachable, a supportive teammate, a team leader, and have good sports work ethic. I strive to be one of the hardest working players and one of the hardest working recruits you will find.
I strive for excellence in all that I do, on and off the field. My goal for life after high school is to make a career in becoming a neurosurgeon. I know this requires lots of dedication and commitment. Therefore I put my academics first. I am starting my sophomore year at Bauxite High School in August 2024. I am an honors student in all advanced classes with a high GPA. I am in FBLA, Bauxite Christian Council, and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. These groups help me academically and socially to interact with my peers and maintain good character. I study hard in the classroom because I know I need good grades for scholarships to help me with my long, rigorous career path.
Character gets you further than your talent really will. Your character is more important than how good you are at the sport. Your athleticism is only temporary. But your character, the type of person you are, lasts a lifetime. That is why I strive to be compassionate, honest, grateful, humble, and most of all, kind. I want to be the best version of myself I can possibly be.
Faith and family are very important values in my life. Above all, I thank my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ for blessing me with where I am today. Without Him, I would be nothing. I can do all things through Him, for He gives me strength. (Phil. 4:13) My faith keeps me grounded and on track. I try my best to live as God wants me to and be a great example for others. I love my family. I would be so lost without them. They are my support and stronghold. My mom is my role model, best friend, and biggest fan! We’ve been through some really hard and scary times together, but she’s always kept me safely taken care of. She has taught me a lot about life, love, and who I want to be.
My name is Landyn Marshall. I appreciate you taking the time to visit my page.
