I have learned the value of hard work, dedication, and integrity while growing up on our family farm. My responsibilities on the farm have taught me the importance of seeing the job through and doing whatever it takes to get the job done right. At school I work hard to maintain higher than a 3.5 GPA in classwork while being involved in several extracurricular activities. I have set high standards for myself and will continue to work hard to accomplish my goals.
Baseball has always been my sport of choice. I have played since I was 4 years old and have been fortunate to play on both school based and travel teams. While pitching during my 7th grade year I suffered a season ending injury that ultimately led me to making the decision to focus my time and effort on baseball. While recovering I learned the importance of taking better care of myself physically as well as mentally. I thought a lot about my goals involving baseball and began working on becoming mentally tough. I have learned not to quit until the final out is made and to always keep my head up because there will always be the next pitch or the next ground ball. I am committed to becoming the best I can be at the game I love. I will always be the one who does whatever it takes to get the job done right. I will always have a positive attitude and be a leader who encourages my team after losses or any obstacles we face.
