Everyone who describes me always starts with the word athletic. As soon as I learned to walk I was off to the races. I’ve played baseball as long as I can remember. I’ve always played basketball, and I’ve played football, done gymnastics and even tried track, but baseball has always been my favorite.
I went to a small, private school where baseball was not a school sport. Because of that, I’ve developed the discipline and have the motivation to train on my own. Whether with a batting net in the backyard or at the local training facility, I put in the hours. I joined our local baseball training facility run by former MLB players this spring. In the second month I was named “Member of the Month” and they offered to keep a cot ready for me because of my consistency in showing up, working hard and doing all I can to learn from the college and professional baseball players I interact with regularly.
I’ve played travel ball since I was 11 and played in the local league prior to that. I've always played shortstop/middle infield, and I started pitching more the last two years which has taught me how to control my emotions and move on to the next pitch, bat, or whatever comes next. I recently won our team's Quality at Bat award for the season.
My goal is to continue my education and achieve my dream of playing college baseball. I’m open to all types of schools; I want to find one where I can see field action while continuing to develop and have fun with my teammates and build a brotherhood for a lifetime.
