My name is Jacob Eubanks, and I am currently a senior at Smackover High School in Smackover, Arkansas. Like most student baseball players, the sport has been an integral part of my life since a young age. My career began when I was three years old and played for a local tee-ball team. Four years later, I began playing competitive tournament ball, where my passion and drive for the sport really developed. This drive has pushed me to continue to make baseball a important part of my life, as I continue to play at the high school level and look forward to playing at the collegiate level. For me baseball has always been much more than a sport; it's been the largest continued learning experience of my life. During these past years, I've developed an extensive range of skills. From leadership to communication to time management, the skills I've learned from baseball have translated into my everyday life. Although baseball is an important aspect of my life, I've been able to find the time to continue doing other activities I enjoy such as being an active member of the church and being a part of different clubs at school as well as hunting and fishing. On top of that, I've been able to maintain a 3.7 GPA, during my upcoming senior year. But, as my high school career will be coming to an end, I am eager to see what the future holds for my college career, as I see my future as an opportunity for great personal growth, both mentally and physically. I plan to continue playing baseball while I pursue my degree in business. I believe business will provide me with the best chance to showcase the skills I've learned, and will continue to learn. Both require skills in leadership, teamwork, and self-discipline, as well as an inner desire to succeed. On the field, I am a dynamic player; as a future business professional, I plan to be a dynamic team player. I strive to always be a positive influence and lead by example. Even on my worst day I will always show respect and integrity, both on and off the field. As I grow throughout both my baseball and academic career, my goal will always be to be an asset to my team. I am looking forward to the opportunity to continue to bring the skills I've learned through baseball into my everyday life, as well as my future business career.
