My Mom put me in baseball at 5 years old and I've loved it ever since. Before that, I played soccer, but I was much more interested in playing air guitar on the field than what was actually going on, so baseball is what I stuck with. Every year got more fun and exciting, and I got better and better.
At 13 I tried out for Team BC, not thinking much of it. After anxiously waiting for the results, I found out I made the team, and would be going on the trip to Kennewick, WA. I competed very hard and I had a blast, and that's when I realized I was serious about having a potential career in baseball.
I played with many teams, and lots of different teammates, many of them very close friends of mine to this day. I eventually landed in Abbotsford, and I can truly say I've been working hard, on the field and in school, setting challenging but reasonable goals for myself to achieve. My biggest goal is to get into a university, and hopefully make it all the way to the big leagues. Even if I don't reach that goal, the game of baseball will forever hold a special place in my heart.
