My name is Jack Locklear. I am a 2024 student-athlete, recently graduated but played Baseball and attended Liberty High School D1 program in Bakersfield CA. I am 6'2"175 lbs.
I am am very interested in attending and playing Baseball at Upper Iowa University. It offers everything I am looking for in a college. You have a recognized Business department and an outstanding Baseball program with a history of great results.
I want to introduce myself and give you some information about my athletic background. This year I have primarily played Left Field (Starter) and 1st Base this year but can Play anywhere. I am a versatile player willing to start anywhere in your program. I am a "Team First" player. Currently, our team just won the CIF D1 Central Championship Saturday 5/25. Our team also won CIF central section State Championship 6/1/2024. We finished our season ranked #7 in the state of California. I ended my season with a BA of 300, SLG 0.483, OPS 0.816. Our LHS record was 32- 4.

| Ball Reading Ability - Great job at reading the trajectory and speed of the ball as it is hit can get into position to make the play more effectively. This requires good anticipation skills and quick reactions. |
| Fielding - Quickly react to balls hit back to them and make accurate throws to first base or other fielders. |
| Explosiveness - Great explosiveness at their position and out of the box. This will be an asset in all aspects of the game off the mount and fielding when necessary. |
| Agility - Showed good agility. Good body positioning and footwork helped you change directions quickly. |
| Resistance To Stress - Maintains composure in pressure situations. Great job staying focused on the task at hand. |
| Team Player - Great team-first attitude. Was encouraging and supportive to teammates throughout camp. |
| Jack is a very athletic kid. His body projects very well. Made some phenomenal plays at 3rd and was super athletic with great footwork at first. Can't wait to see how he progresses as he gets stronger. |
| Overall strength - Once you get stronger and grow into your frame it will take your game to the next level. |
| Footwork at short stop - You have great glove work but at short stop you would catch the ball on the right side of your body which gets everything out of sync. |
| Bat speed - With your frame if you improve your bat speed you will really be driving balls in the gap for extra base hits. |
