I love baseball because it's very fun and challenging! I have a passion to play on a good college baseball team. I also want to earn a college degree and use it to earn a living if I don't make it to the majors. I know it will take hard work and dedication to improve myself. I am easily coachable. I listen and do what the coaches want because they know how to make me the best baseball player.
I’m a great candidate for your college baseball team because I am like a spark plug to a team. I spark a team, with enthusiasm and energy to get hits and score runs. On my high school baseball team, I’ve been the leadoff batter for the last 3 years. My job is to get on base any way I can. Then, steal bases and score. I can run to first base in 3.7 seconds. I had the best batting average in the Foothill Varsity League last spring as a Junior. I made the 2nd team All-League team (top 20 out of 150 players in 7 high schools voted by the coaches) . My stats were Batting AVG .508 / OBP .568 / OPS 1.180 / 33 hits and 21 runs scored in 22 games!
I am a team player, supporting my team, and always encouraging my team, win or lose! I don’t get angry, I focus my energy on getting hits or outs. I’m naturally athletic and the fastest person on my team, so I reach bases quickly or get to the ball fast on defense. I have a high baseball IQ as well as a great contact hitter. I know the game and what it takes to hit and score.
Academically, I am concurrently attending College classes while in High School. So far I have already completed 5 elective classes with 16.5 college credits.
